Collective Worship

Worship lies at the heart of Christian life, and at Bures Primary our Collective Worship sessions allow us to join together in a daily act of worship which makes links to our school’s core Christian Values. We follow the Anglican Church Calendar when planning Collective Worship and we have built up an excellent relationship with the Church to support this work. We offer many exciting and spiritually developing experiences for all the children, through being inspirational, invitational and inclusive.

This is our schedule for Collective Worship, planned by our Collective Worship Leader and Team.

Monday - Value based led by SLT

Tuesday - Other World Views led by class teachers OR Open the Book

Wednesday - No Outsiders in classes

Thursday - Values based worship led by Rev Daniel

Friday - Celebration with Mrs Harris and Mrs Stewart

Our Church Services 2025-26:

Thur 23 October 9am — Church Service
Tue 11 November, 10:45am — Remembrance Service in Church (working with Y6 during the week before)
Fri 5 December — Christingles in School
Tue 16 December, 9:30am — Nativity (rehearsals in days before TBA)
Thur 18 December, 6pm — KS2 Carol Service (afternoon booked out for rehearsal)
Mon 2 February, 9am — Church Service (Candlemass)
Thur 26 March, 9am — Easter Service in Church
Thur 14 May, 9am — Church Service (Ascension)
Thur 25 June, 9am — Church Service
Leavers Service TBC possibly afternoon of 9 July
